A few tidbits from the Pioneer panel: the Pioneer folks gave their upcoming release schedule, and mentioned that they're definitely planning to get into all aspects of anime, from DVDs to CDs to import merchandise. The new acquisitions they announced were Texhnolyze (Yoshitoshi Abe and Konaka Chiaki), Samurai Champloo (by Watanabe Shinichi, the director of Cowboy Bebop), Gungrave (though a lot of people seemed to think the Pioneer rep said Gunparade), the Read Or Die TV series, and the Rintaro Captain Harlock OAVs. They said they didn't get the Tenchi GXP series, and thought that it was FUNimation that got it. From speaking to a very reliable source somewhere else, we know this is true. They have no plans to put out Trigun season 2, but say they do have first option on it if the licensor decides to make it available. They have no plans for more Sailor Moon, but did a quick poll of the room, and a good portion of the attendees seemed interested in seeing more. They have considered splitting Fushigi Yuugi box into separate DVDs for sale, but haven't made a decision yet.

Del Rey: speaking with Dallas Middaugh at Del Rey, all we could find out was that he couldn't tell us the names of the manga titles they will launch yet. Part of it was that they were waiting for last minute word on which particular titles they could announce. This made it sound like they definitely had more than 4 titles in mind (we think), but possibly were only going to launch with 4 of them. He promised we'd be able to find out at their panel on Saturday, though. He also said the manga would be unflipped.
