this light-hearted show follows the activities of Mikkiko Oguro, the newly hired
producer at Animation Studio Petit. Will she be able to meet the oncoming deadline
for Time Journeys 2?

This is one of Studio Ghibli's less well-known pieces, but it really shouldn't be.
I Can Hear the Ocean is a wonderful slice-of-life film about a high school reunion,
and all the memories that it brings. At its heart, it's about Morisaki Taku and his best
friend Matsuno, and what happens when a city girl named Muto Rikako comes into their lives.
It's a very hard to describe film, but if you liked Only Yesterday or Whisper of
the Heart, you'll like this one.

In addition to that, we're
also going to be showing some slightly different things. Things like the old, and
not very well-known, Assemble Insert, or the one-shot (and very hard to get)
Animation Runner Kuromi. Also, for all the Studio Ghibli fans (and to celebrate
the great opening that their new film just had in Japan), we'll have I Can Hear
the Ocean on tap for you, the kind of great slice-of-life drama that you would
probably never see in American animation. Finally, we'll have most of the
usual suspects for you, too, like Dual, Love Hina (which everyone wants
to see), and Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Due to scheduling conflicts, there will be
no Kodomo no Omocha this month, but it should return next month.
