No-Name's Annual San Diego Comic Con Trip
Saturday is always the busiest day at the con. Today, we attended several different panels. At the Craig McCracken Powerpuff Girls Movie panel, they showed some deleted scenes from the movie, and Craig talked about the ideas behind some of the characters and how he and Lauren Faust got into the business. At the Warner Bros. panel, Jason Lee and Lucy Liu were there to help promote their upcoming film, Ecks vs Sever. The WB reps showed a new Terminator 3 trailer, and surprised people at the end by having Arnold Schwarzenegger show up and answer a few questions.

Horton Plaza, near the convention center.

It's very convenient to have Horton Plaza nearby.

It's always fun when the exhibitors dress up, too.

It's always fun to shop at Bud Plant each year.

It's a whole family of Star Wars costumes.

One booth was selling the actual wands and Golden Snitch from the Harry Potter movie.

Even Tweek has been made into a plushie now.

Yes, Fanime Con had a space at San Diego this year!

Ed Noonchester, famous cel dealer, is always there.

Gratuitous booth babe photo.

If only we could have afforded one of the cels for these guys to sign...

The Powerpuff Girls Movie panel, with Mike Lazzo, Craig McCracken, Lauren Faust, and James Venable.

There seems to be a surfeit of Lara Crofts here.

A view coming down the stairs of the convention center.

Yet more booth babes.

This is the middle of the line to get Craig McCracken's autograph.

Plex seems to be associated with Bandai. Possibly their comic book venture.

Craig (PPG creator) and Lauren signing stuff at the Cartoon Network booth.

A better view of Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust.

Viz had a big Hamtaro that the kids seemed to love.

We're telling you, figures and such are really in this year.

A really great (and huge) promo Cowboy Bebop movie DVD poster, but too rich ($150) for us!

Pretty good Cyclops and Wolverine costumes.

A very good (better than the upcoming movie) Elektra costume.

Not sure what costume it is, but it's well done.

Three totally unrelated (but good) costumes.

The Warner Bros. panel's surprise guest: Arnold Schwarzenegger (sorry for the fuzzy shot)!

Further down, even some of the windows were painted with different characters.

Classic Catwoman costume.

The line to get into the masquerade. Note the ballroom 21 sign at the right.

More of the masquerade line. Note the ballroom 23 sign.

Great X-Wing pilot outfit.

Another good Star Wars group.

Yup, she's dressed (or not) as Vampirella.

Young versions of Cowboy Bebop's Faye and Noir's Mireille.

Slight fuzzy view of ballroom 20, of the masquerade audience.

Another view across the room of the masquerade audience.

The initial MC for the masquerade. He introduces the real MC each year.

Robert Trebor (Xena, Hercules) was the MC this year, and he's hilarious.

Costume of the Cenobite from Hellraiser
